{"id":464,"date":"2018-07-12T14:41:16","date_gmt":"2018-07-12T12:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.corsevacances.fr\/?p=464"},"modified":"2022-04-12T14:40:36","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T12:40:36","slug":"plateau-coscionu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.corsevacances.fr\/en\/plateau-coscionu\/","title":{"rendered":"The Coscionu plateau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A superb walk to do virtually all year round,<strong> the Coscionu plateau<\/strong> at <strong>Corsica<\/strong>situated at an altitude of 1725 metres, also offers superb panoramic views from the <strong>Punta di Sistaja.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our tip: do the walk in autumn to admire the palette of colours in the beech forest around the Col de <strong>Sistaja<\/strong>. <strong>The Coscionu plateau<\/strong> is also very popular for its exceptional cross-country skiing.<\/p>\n<h2>A few tips for your walk<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left;\" title=\"plateau coscionu\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/coscionu.jpg\" alt=\"plateau coscionu\" width=\"305\" height=\"206\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Duration<\/strong> Duration: 5 to 6 hours with a difference in altitude of 600 to 800 metres depending on the route.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The equipment<\/strong> 1:25,000 I.G.N. map, 42.53 W (Zicavo W), compass and altimeter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Itinerary<\/strong> To the south of Zicavo, about twelve kilometres along the D69, go as far as the Querci Bianchi bridge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From here, 150 metres after this second bridge, you'll find the start of the trail, heading south to Pianu di menta (1,330 m), also known as A menta on some I.G.N. maps.<\/p>\n<p>Then, on the left heading north-west towards Punta di Menta (go around it on the west side), you reach a second plateau: Poggio di Comitasca.<\/p>\n<p>From here, leave the path in the direction of a rocky spur and walk around the large boulders, now heading north-north-east towards the beech forest (1,615 m).
