The Aîtone forest

Aitone The Aîtone forest south of the Corsicastretches from the heights of Evisa to the Vergio pass, at an altitude of 1490 metres. It is a forest populated by laricio pine, chestnut and beech trees.

It is criss-crossed by a forest road built during the Second Empire, and is located just a short distance from another forestthe Valdoniello forest.

Numerous footpaths invite you to enjoy beautiful walks, in particular up to mountain peaks approaching 1500 m in altitude.
