Boutique hotels in Corsica: our best-rated small places to stay
Twenty rooms at most and a rating of at least 9/10: criteria you can check, not a label.
No regulation defines a boutique hotel. The term has no official standing, and anyone can use it as they see fit. Rather than choose by eye, we kept to what can be checked: a hotel or guest house that is small, with 20 rooms or fewer according to the Atout France register, and very well rated by its guests, 9/10 or higher on Booking.
At first we wanted to add a criterion about the setting: a hotel in a protected natural area, or in a building listed as a historic monument. None of our addresses met all the conditions at once, and we did not want to bend the criteria just to fill the page.
The hotels are grouped by destination. Each card gives the number of rooms from the register, the star classification and the Booking rating with the month it was recorded. The selection comes only from our destination pages: we have not added any hotel to make the list longer.

How to choose
Small does not mean basic
The number of rooms tells you the size of the hotel, not how comfortable it is. Our selection runs from 2-star to 5-star: check the classification on each card.
Book early for summer
With 20 rooms at most, and sometimes 4, space is limited. For July and August, book early.
Check the date of the rating
Each Booking rating is shown with the month it was recorded. If it is a little old, have a look at recent reviews before you book.
Check the register yourself
Atout France’s register of classified establishments gives the category of each hotel and the date it was classified. Search for it by name and town.

Where can I find a boutique hotel in Corse-du-Sud?
In our selection, in Bonifacio, in Porto-Vecchio, around Propriano, as far as Olmeto on the north side of the Gulf of Valinco, and near Sartène, including a hotel on the Tizzano marina.
Where can I find a boutique hotel in Haute-Corse?
Mainly in the Balagne: five of our addresses are around L’Île-Rousse, one in Algajola. The others are in Bastia and Saint-Florent.
Are there boutique hotels right on the water?
A good half of this selection is less than 150 m from the shore, measured on OpenStreetMap: in Algajola, in L’Île-Rousse, on the Gulf of Valinco, on the Tizzano marina, in Saint-Florent and on the harbour in Bonifacio. They all also appear in our seafront hotels.
Is there a boutique hotel on Cap Corse?
