Seafront hotels in Corsica: less than 150 m from the shore
Measured on the map, less than 150 m from the shore: by a beach or a harbour.
Plenty of hotels in Corsica call themselves ‘seafront’. For this page, we measured: for each hotel on our destination pages, the straight-line distance between its location on Booking and the shoreline drawn on OpenStreetMap. Those less than 150 metres away are listed here, from Cap Corse to Bonifacio, by way of the Balagne, Ajaccio and the Gulf of Valinco.
The shore is not always a beach. On the map, it also follows the harbour quays. Several hotels on the list look onto a harbour, in Bastia, in Porto-Vecchio or on the Marina in Bonifacio, with no beach close by; others are right by the sand. We left out the old town of Bonifacio: its hotels are close to the sea as the crow flies, but on top of the cliff, with no way down to the water.
So why not ‘right on the water’? The phrase suggests you can go straight from your room into the sea. A distance measured on a map does not guarantee it: a road, a quay or a flight of steps may lie between the hotel and the sea. We do not promise it for any of them.
The hotels are grouped by destination, with their Booking rating and the date it was recorded. The text of each listing says where the place is: read it to find out whether the beach is right below the hotel or further away.

How to choose
Beach or harbour: read the listing
The text of each listing says where the hotel is. On a harbour, the beach may be several minutes away. To choose a beach, see our beaches of Corsica.
Ask for a sea-facing room
A hotel by the water does not necessarily have sea views from every room. If the view matters to you, choose a room that advertises it or ask before you book.
On a harbour, evenings are lively
In summer the quays stay busy late, between the restaurants and boats that leave early in the morning. For quiet nights, a place by a beach outside town is a better fit.
Think about parking
By the sea, and even more so in town, spaces are scarce in summer. Ask the hotel whether it has parking or where to leave your car.
Check the date of the rating
Each Booking rating is shown with the month it was recorded. An older rating is worth checking against recent reviews on Booking before you book.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I find a seafront hotel in Corsica?
Almost anywhere on the coast: our selection runs from Cap Corse to Bonifacio, by way of Bastia, Saint-Florent, the Balagne, Ajaccio and the Gulf of Valinco. Each town page also shows holiday residences and apartments near the water.
Are there hotels right on the water in Corsica?
We do not use that description. It suggests you can go straight from your room into the sea, and a distance measured on a map does not guarantee that: a road, a quay or a flight of steps may lie between the hotel and the water. Read the listing, then look at the map on the page.
Is there a seafront hotel in Porto-Vecchio?
The two hotels we chose in Porto-Vecchio are on the harbour, not by a beach. To sleep near the sand, see our places to stay in Porto-Vecchio, area by area, around Palombaggia or Santa Giulia.
